What we do:
We do Gold Casting
Service in 10K, 14K, 18K (yellow, white, rose, green)
gold and sterling silver, platinum. All our work
has a fast turnaround at competitive prices. Quality
is our main concern. No piece leaves our service
cneter without going through our rigerous quality
control department.
Our services range from a single process to a start to finish solution in private label jewelry manufacturing.
Whether it's a one of a kind, one piece special order or production of thousands of pieces from filigree to buckles, ask for consultation so that we ma privide you with the best castings.
Because of the high cost of rapid
prototyping equipment and the high level of
technical expertise required to reliably produce
perfect parts, the trend is to use specialized third-party
service bureaus.
We offer reduced time and cost for jewelry designers
and their clients with state-of-the-art technology.
Our machines build wax models from computer files
using thermoplastics that are perfect components
for investment casting. See
some of the machinery here >>
In the past jewelry design was greatly hindered
by difficult communication between the customer
and the jeweler. The only option for executing a
jewelry design was looking through a stock jewelry
design catalogue. Whenever the customer had a vision
or idea which was not realized in the finished piece
of jewelry the sale became very difficult.
Other important benefits to cad jewelry design is
accuracy and affordability. Your jewelry
design can now be manufactured with incredible
symmetry because the wax model is created using
our in house rapid
prototyping machines.
Our systems reduce cost and time-to-market by translating
CAD Designs into hard copy 3D models. These models
are so accurate that designers can go beyond concept
modeling to produce tooling grade patterns ready
for casting or mold-making.
Jointly CAD/CAM allows the design
of jewelry using a computer (CAD) and creates an
exact hard copy model of a jewelry piece using a
computer controlled manufacturing device (CAM).
Our technicians utilize all file types compatible
with any CAM device, which allows us to quickly
generate a precise wax model ready for casting.
Stereolithography and these other hard model technologies
are the future of the jewelry industry. Leading
jewelers effectively use CAM "service bureaus"
that specialize in prototype output.
Our technicians have been in the jewelry business
since 1983, operating in various branches of the
industry. We are some of the finest jewelry manufacturers
and jewelers in the industry.
With our fist-hand knowledge and experience throughout
the jewelry manufacturing process from start to
finish, we deliver quality.
Jewellery and small parts
The methods used for small parts and jewelry
vary a bit from those used for other casting. A
wax is obtained, either from injection into a rubber
mold, or it is custom-made in wax. Occasionally,
a custom-made wax might be molded in silicone rubber
first as insurance against the loss of the unique
wax and connected labor costs incurred in carving
it. The wax or waxes are sprued and fused onto a
rubber base, called a "sprue-base". Then
a metal flask, which looks like a short length of
steel pipe that ranges roughly from 1.5 to six inches
tall and wide, is put over the sprue-base and the
waxes. Most sprue-bases have a circular rim, which
grips the standard-sized flask, holding it in place.
Investment (refractory plaster) is mixed and poured
into the flask, filling it. After it hardens it
is burned out as outlined above. Casting is usually
done directly from the kiln either by centrifugal-casting
or vacuum-casting.
The lost-wax process can be used with any substance
that can burn, melt, or evaporate to leave a mold
cavity. Some car manufacturers use a lost-foam technique
to make engine blocks. The model is made of polystyrene
foam, which is placed into a casting
flask, consisting of a cope and drag, which is then
filled with casting sand. The foam supports the
sand, allowing shapes that would be impractical
if the process had to rely on the sand alone. The
metal is poured in, vaporizing the foam with its
heat.
